{Post-Digital Arc de Triomphe}

An amalgamation of physical and programmatic boundaries that question the fundamental nature of the contemporary office. The stark formal difference between the wood and resin represents a material/mental threshold between linear (production) and holistic (contemplative) thinking in a working environment. The monumental arching shape pays homage to the ‘Arc de Triomphe’ in Paris, referencing an age of narrative in building, and also referencing Kevin Lynch’s classifications of urban form.

Model fabrication began with prototyping using PLA 3d printing, then the final model was made using resin and plywood. Every piece was modeled and milled to a tolerance of <1mm to ensure buildability and accuracy with no compromises.
