{Industrial Eclecticism}
A proposal for an art museum made of upcycled industrial artifacts in the Arts District of Los Angeles.

This project began with a keen interest in industrial objects, particularly those found in bridges and coal fire power plants such as counterweights, hoppers, chutes, conveyor belts, and storage silos. I find these objects brutally functionalist and inherently beautiful, such is the genesis of this project: Its function being the decontextualizing and upcycling of these industrial objects. To achieve this I utilized a variable space frame structure to house and suspend them among a continuous gallery promenade for the displaying of art and architecture artefacts. The final model is made of wood, bristol paper, wire mesh, and foam core. The black escalator is 3d printed.
