The Botanist
The Botanist takes place in a post-climate apocalypse environment, where evolved carnivorous flora has emerged, and, for reasons unclear to the masses, been eradicated and banned by a militant authority. One rogue botanist can’t help but question this concerted race for extinction. It’s clear to them that the answers lie in cultivating those plants, and seeing what exactly is being hidden.
Pairing Ballardian storytelling with a codex of crypto-horticulture, The Botanist looks into the near future with a combination of imagination, disdain and optimism.
